My Interests
Line Dancing
I started line dancing in 1995 when a friend suggested I give it a try. In no time at all I was hooked!! A fun way to exercise and interact with other people. You don't need a partner and it is not just country western. There were several of us who soon were into more advanced dances and we formed our own group called 'Boot Scootin' Attitude'. We perform for groups and have been asked to appear on floats in the Rhododendron Festival Parade on several different occasions. I have attended several workshops in Oregon, Washington and Vancouver B.C. The Dance for the Dream Workshops hosted by Scooter Lee have provided a wealth of new, easy and fun dances.
These are some of our Play Lists:

Not too many places to dance here in Florence but the local Elks lodge has live music on the weekends and they will play our favorite tunes for dancing.
I started teaching a few years ago and now have several classes at various locations.
Now when I need to sit down and give the feet a rest I enjoy a good novel whether it is Tom Clancey or Danielle Steele and I knit my own sweaters and dresses. When I want a different form of exercise, I head for the beach, especially the areas where you can find agates.
